Imagine you are an orphan in one of the poorest countries in the world. By God’s grace, you were able to survive a very turbulent childhood (to say the least), where war, death, and hunger were always near. You were taken in by an orphanage at an early age and given as much security as possible, and you were able to attend school at the orphanage up until your graduation from the equivalent of high school.

But what’s next? You feel you have something to offer your home country of South Sudan, but the university and trade school options there are essentially zero. The war-torn country simply does not yet have the infrastructure to provide quality higher education.

The answer is neighboring Uganda, which offers quality options for preparation of students like these who are intelligent and motivated to rebuild their home country and do so with a firm and lasting faith in Jesus to guide their pathway in life. Now, if you only had someone or some group to help you make this dream a reality.

This is where His Voice Global and our Student Ministry comes into play.

The His Voice Education Fund was established to provide for either a university or trade school education for vetted and approved students from either South Sudan, Kenya, or a neighboring country. The cost per student is approximately $3,000 per year for trade school and $5,000 per year for university. This year, our Family Mentors on the ground in Arua, Uganda are responsible for 21 students, and we anticipate that number growing to 27 by early in 2021.

With the number of students expected to keep rising, His Voice is looking for couples or families willing to relocate to Arua, Uganda and join or growing Student Ministry team.
