HVG Arise Program
After establishing all four of our programs in Uganda: Arise, Shine, Thrive, and Alive. We realized the holistic nature of each program feeds off each other in such a way that it perfectly brings about our mission of “raising up leaders among the vulnerable.” As we have dreamed of growing throughout East Africa, we can see the importance of having all four programs in each place.
In Uganda, the Arise Center plays the role of our Arise Program (aptly named after the center itself). In Kenya, Rift Valley Hope plays the role of our Arise Program. At the heart of this program is community. The Arise Program is a home base. We believe and have seen through the actions of the Arise Center and RVH that a place of sending, a home base, a place for community is central to raising up leaders. The Arise Program is where Shine, Thrive, and Alive find their center and sending.

We are continually amazed at the beauty and abundance that God is providing through The Arise Center. Earlier in the year the team on the ground in Uganda made a quick video of The Arise Center’s beauty and an interview from a ministry that has recently used the facility for their staff retreat. Teams to Uganda and Kenya
Next month we have two teams headed to East Africa! We would love for you to join us in prayer for the teams. You can find a downloadable (or you can screenshot) prayer guide for each team below as well as a few ways to support them!
A team from two of our partner churches are headed to Uganda August 12th. This team is made up of men from The Gathering Baptist Church in the Kansas City, MO metro area, and men from Crossroads Church in Amarillo, TX.
A team from Redeemer Fellowship in Kansas City will be heading to Kenya on August 16th.
