Many of you have prayed for the children in our care and supported our education fund for years. Because of your support and the faithful work of our Family Mentors and partners in Uganda and Kenya, these students are truly able to THRIVE! Thank you for your part in that!
Many of our Uganda college-aged students have been with us since they were just small children back in 2005 when His Voice helped start an orphanage in Morobo, South Sudan. All of our kids are special to us, but there is a unique bond with those kids from the "early years" of HVG. That is certainly the case with Charles, Taban, and Banja, who have recently graduated from their respective schools and are preparing to enter the workforce and serve where the Lord leads them. Team Trip Success with the Colee’s Back!
A team has just returned from a wonderful trip over the Easter holiday! Students came home from University and South Sudan to join their Uganda Family Mentors at Arise and celebrate our Risen Savior! It was a time of beautiful celebration and was all the more special with the Colee's return home from the states! Brent's surgeries were a success and the family had a restorative time back in the states during their 3 month stay, but they were glad to get back home to Uganda.
Brent gave a powerful Sunday morning sermon and constructed a cross that lent to an overwhelming Easter morning celebration experience. We're so glad to have the team back together in Arua and look forward to sending many more teams to share in the experience!
Giving Day Report
March 31st was our second annual "His Voice Global Giving Day", and we are so appreciative for your response! Your gifts have allowed us to fund critical parts of our ministry early in the year and gain momentum towards accomplishing all that God has set before us. Approximately $100,000 was raised, and all of it will be used in support of our four on-going programs aimed at raising up leaders among the vulnerable.
Because of your help, we will:
Provide needed food, clean water, and holistic support to 1000 people in north Uganda
Build on a recent showing of the Jesus film that resulted in 100 NEW professions of faith in Jesus Christ
Ensure that nearly 100 students in our care continue their studies and become future leaders in South Sudan, Uganda, and Kenya
Continue development of the Arise Center outside of Arua, Uganda, for God's use and glory
